Event Details

The first Service Design Thinks in Dublin is an opportunity for people interested in service design to come together, share work, discuss, debate and shape service design practice in Ireland. As an introduction to the space, the speakers will reflect on the role of service design in enterprise, social innovation and education.

Everyone welcome, so come on down to hear some great speakers, have a drink and a chat. It's free but spaces are limited, so please put your name down on the list.

Toby Scott

Toby will be discussing the value-adding potential of design in Ireland and the findings of his recent work with InterTradeIreland. Managing Director of Pentacle Ireland, Toby was previously founder of the Centre for Design Innovation and a director at the Design Council.

Jim Dunne

With a background in branding, Jim co-founded Design Twentyfirst Century in 2008 in the belief that design can be applied to the world’s most difficult and complex problems. Jim will be discussing the philosophy behind Design Twentyfirst Century and showing some recent work.

Keith Finglas

Managing Director at Innovation Delivery, Keith will be discussing his work with the Smurfit Business School at UCD and exploring the role of design in multi-disciplinary approaches to services innovation.

DesigningDublin

Our hosts at DesigningDublin will be providing an update on their work, and the role of service design in social innovation, engaging communities and re-imagining the city.

Thanks to DesigningDublin for the use of the space (beside Dublinia Viking Centre). Drinks sponsored by Radarstation.
